What I liked
The story spans over a year. That's great because you see their relationship evolve with time. The author doesn't rush with them. Slowly the bonding deepens. And it's beautiful to read.

Talking about ending. It's something unexpected. Can be considered as a happy ending or an incomplete one. It's up to the reader.

I loved the journey. The story deals with second chances and how we are reluctant to take them. The past baggage feels more comfortable than the future pleasures. The author perfectly talks about the dilemma one has when it comes to moving on or when the gone has to undergo a big change. Even though we want something so badly, we still decide otherwise, due to the circumstances.

This is a book celebrating emotions. Grab the book and get on the journey with Theresa and Garrett.

My Reading Journey
I happened to watch a movie of Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth, "The Last Song". I loved it. Later I found out that this movie was an adaptation of a book by Nicholas Sparks. I wanted to read it.

Fast forward to a few years. In the library I saw this book by Nicholas Sparks. It wasn't the one I was searching for. "Message in a Bottle" by Nicholas Sparks, something about this book drew me towards it. So I brought it home.

I read it with my sister, buddy reading. A buddy reading is when two people read the same book at the same time. This allows them to discuss the book. It's like a mini book club.

This book was comforting. At the same time, it made me think about a few things. Like how complex these emotions are. And how difficult it is to know what your heart really desires…

It's was a good read.

It's strange that this story was written in 1998. It's not ancient so not a total difference. 1998 is just 25 years back but technology is different. We have come a long way in these 25 years.

Took a lot of time but I finished it. I turned the last page in silence. Not what I have been expecting… "a happy ending" It was a sorted ending
Maybe happily ever after doesn't exist in reality… all we do is just move from one story to another. The last page of this book was the end of one story and at the same time the first chapter of another one…
Love you Theresa
Love you Garrett
And Love you Catherine from Garrett's memories
Thank you for being a part of my journey…
